| 29 | 29 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any licensed physician or |

| 30 | 30 | | 2registered optometrist registered to issue written prescriptions in the Commonwealth who are |

| 31 | 31 | | 3issuing a prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, shall include the patient’s pupillary |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4distance on the script. No additional fees may be imposed for including such information on the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5script. The board of registration in optometry shall issue promulgations to carry out the |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6requirements of this section. |
