| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding and general or special law to the contrary, the executive |

| 30 | 30 | | 2office of public safety and security shall develop and implement a system to audit firearms |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3registration records periodically to identify and remove individuals who are deceased or no |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4longer residents of the commonwealth. |

| 33 | 33 | | 5 SECTION 2. The executive office of public safety and security shall develop a system for |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6generating and sending a list of registered firearms to owners on an annual basis. The list shall |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7include the firearm serial number, the registered owner’s information, and any other relevant |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8registration details. Owners shall be required to review this list and provide a response |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9confirming the accuracy of the information. |
