29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |

31 | 31 | | 1 Chapter 30B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby |

32 | 32 | | 2amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:- |

33 | 33 | | 3 Section 24. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary and to the extent |

34 | 34 | | 4permitted by federal law, a state agency or governmental body shall procure a minimum of ten |

35 | 35 | | 5percent of the contract value of products by businesses, as defined in section 3A of chapter 23A |

36 | 36 | | 6of the general laws, provided, that the commonwealth is their principal place of business, and |

37 | 37 | | 7provided further, that a waiver process is set forth by the awarding authority. |
