The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act relative to LGBTQ+ Veterans Day. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 215CCCCCCC the following section:- 3 Section 15DDDDDDD. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart 4September 20th as LGBTQ+ Veterans Day, to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and 5queer (LGBTQ+) veterans who have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces throughout the 6nation’s history and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the 7people.
