An Act to reimburse cities and towns affected by the decommissioning of power plants.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 22 of Chapter 21A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking subsection clauses (iv) and (v) of subsection (c) 
3and inserting in place thereof the following:-
4 (iv) to promote energy efficiency, conservation and demand response;
5 (v) to reimburse the commonwealth for costs associated with the administration of the 
6cap and trade program; and
7 (vi) to reimburse cities and towns for loss of tax revenue associated with the 
8decommissioning of power plants within the city or town.
