| 28 | 28 | 1 SECTION 1 Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the | |
| 29 | 29 | 2contrary, the registry of motor vehicles shall only charge a single special fee for a vanity plate | |
| 30 | 30 | 3registration. Any and all subsequent registration renewal fees shall be at the same amount as for | |
| 31 | 31 | 4standard non-vanity plates in the commonwealth. | |
| 32 | 32 | 5 SECTION 2 This act shall take effect on January 1st of the year following passage into | |
