In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court

An Act relative to vanity plate fees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1    Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the 
2contrary, the registry of motor vehicles shall only charge a single special fee for a vanity plate 
3registration. Any and all subsequent registration renewal fees shall be at the same amount as for 
4standard non-vanity plates in the commonwealth. 
5 SECTION 2    This act shall take effect on January 1st of the year following passage into 
6law.
