2727 An Act relative to license transparency.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Subsection (b) of section 7 of chapter 81 of the Acts of 2022 is hereby amended by
3131 2inserting after the words “regulations promulgated by the attorney general;”, in the second to last
3232 3sentence the following words:
3333 4 said regulations shall, at a minimum, require the registrar of motor vehicles to provide
3434 5information on the holder of a Massachusetts license (1) to any city or town clerk seeking to
3535 6verify the identity and eligibility of any individual using a Massachusetts license to vote or to
3636 7register to vote and (2) in response to a request from any state law enforcement agency pursuant
3737 8to an investigation.
