[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE HOUSE, NO. 3354 OF 2023-2024.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act relative to license transparency. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Subsection (b) of section 7 of chapter 81 of the Acts of 2022 is hereby amended by 2inserting after the words “regulations promulgated by the attorney general;”, in the second to last 3sentence the following words: 4 said regulations shall, at a minimum, require the registrar of motor vehicles to provide 5information on the holder of a Massachusetts license (1) to any city or town clerk seeking to 6verify the identity and eligibility of any individual using a Massachusetts license to vote or to 7register to vote and (2) in response to a request from any state law enforcement agency pursuant 8to an investigation.
