29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

30 | 30 | | 1 Section 7E of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, |

31 | 31 | | 2is hereby amended by striking out the second paragraph in its entirety and replacing it with the |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3following:- |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4 A vehicle owned or operated by a forest warden, deputy forest warden, a chief or deputy |
---|
34 | 34 | | 5chief of a municipal fire department, a chaplain of a municipal fire department, a member of a |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6fire department of a town or a call member of a fire department or a member or a call member of |
---|
36 | 36 | | 7an emergency medical service or full-time employees or contract employees employed by or |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8under contract with the department of fire services or any vehicles owned, operated, or under |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9contract by the Department of Transportation may have mounted thereon flashing, rotating or |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10oscillating red lights. Unless the vehicle is owned, operated, or under contract by the Department |
---|
40 | 40 | | 11of Transportation, such lights shall only be displayed when such owner or operator is proceeding 2 of 2 |

41 | 41 | | 12to a fire or in response to an alarm and when the official duty of such owner or operator requires |
---|
42 | 42 | | 13him to proceed to said fire or to respond to said alarm, and at no other time. |
