Kivari, Jr. be authorized to purchase creditable service from the Hampden county retirement board. Public Service. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act authorizing Edward E. Kivari Jr. to purchase creditable service from the Hampden county regional retirement board. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or 2special law to the contrary, the Hampden county regional retirement board shall credit Edward E. 3Kivari Jr., a member of the Hampden county regional retirement system, with creditable service 4during the period of 1997 to 2011, inclusive, as a member of the zoning board of appeals in the 5town of Wilbraham. The board shall determine and credit him with creditable service for the 6amount of actual time worked during this period in accordance with section 4 of said chapter 32. 7 SECTION 2. Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon 8payment by Edward E. Kivari Jr. to the Hampden county regional retirement system of an 9amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular 10compensation for such previous service plus buyback interest, in 1 lump sum or installments, as 11the Hampden county regional retirement board shall prescribe.
