2525 An Act to consolidate ballot request notifications.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, annually, no later
2929 2than February 15, the Secretary of the Commonwealth shall provide an annual mailing to all
3030 3registered voters in the Commonwealth. The mailing shall include: (1) information on how to
3131 4request a mail-in or absentee ballot for any election scheduled during that calendar year; and (2)
3232 5instructions for submitting a ballot request online, by phone, or by mail.
3333 6 Section 2. The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall not be permitted to send additional
3434 7mailings related to ballot requests for individual elections during that calendar year unless
3535 8otherwise mandated by federal law.
3636 9 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately upon passage.
