| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 SECTION 1. (a) Any group organized under Chapter 180 of the General Laws shall |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2provide and maintain at least 1 fully functional automated external defibrillator, also known as |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3AED, for emergency use. |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4 (b) Any group or organization that is required to provide and maintain an AED pursuant |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5to subsection (a) shall provide mandatory training in accordance with the standards established |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6by the American Heart Association or the American National Red Cross on cardiopulmonary |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7resuscitation and the use of AEDs to: all organizational staff; all members of the organization; |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8any other individuals as determined by the leadership of the organization. |

| 37 | 37 | | 9 SECTION 2. There shall be a fund, subject to appropriation, established to assist any |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10group required by subsection (a) to provide an AED with procurement, maintenance, and |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 11training necessary under Section 1. |
