| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 1 Chapter 147 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting the following sections: |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2 Section XX. Local and state police officers shall be equipped with a flotation device in |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3their on duty vehicles. Said flotation device shall be large enough and suitable for use in a water |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4rescue. These officials shall further receive water rescue training, including, but not limited to, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5instruction on how to safely and properly use flotation devices in the event of a rescue. |

| 36 | 36 | | 6 Section XX. The municipal police training committee may promulgate regulations for |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7purposes of implementing this Act. |
