2828 An Act relative to retirement benefits for Thomas Chiocca.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the
3232 2contrary, Thomas Chiocca shall be deemed eligible for the alternative superannuation retirement
3333 3benefit enacted by Section 2 of Chapter 114 of the Acts of 2000, known as Retirement Plus, so
3434 4called, provided that the member pays into said retirement system an amount that is
3535 5commensurate with what he would have paid under retirement plus, minus the contributions that
3636 6the member has already paid into the retirement system for said period, plus regular interest; and
3737 7provided further, that the Board shall then recalculate Thomas Chiocca's superannuation
3838 8retirement allowance using the formula for said alternative superannuation retirement benefit,
3939 9and he shall then be deemed entitled to said alternative superannuation retirement benefit
4040 10retroactively to the date of his superannuation retirement. 2 of 2
4141 11 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
