2525 An Act facilitating brownfields redevelopment.
2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2727 of the same, as follows:
2828 1 SECTION 1. Subsection (j) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing
2929 2in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in paragraph (4) by inserting after the words “in
3030 3compliance with chapter 21E” the following:-
3131 4 and for the purposes of promoting the redevelopment of contaminated sites and shall
3232 5include, without limitation, expenses associated with such redevelopment that are required for
3333 6such redevelopment by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan as outlined in 310 CMR 40.0000 et
3434 7seq., and any associated policy and guidance of the department of environmental protection.
3535 8 SECTION 2. Subsection (d) of section 38Q of chapter 63 of the General Laws, as so
3636 9appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the words“in compliance with chapter 21E” the
3737 10following:-
3838 11 and for the purposes of promoting the redevelopment of contaminated sites and shall
3939 12include, without limitation, expenses associated with such redevelopment that are required for 2 of 2
4040 13such redevelopment by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan as outlined in 310 CMR 40.0000 et
4141 14seq., and any associated policy and guidance of the department of environmental protection.
