legislation to promote the redevelopment of contaminated sites through tax credits. Revenue.

An Act facilitating brownfields redevelopment.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Subsection (j) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing 
2in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in paragraph (4) by inserting after the words “in 
3compliance with chapter 21E” the following:- 
4 and for the purposes of promoting the redevelopment of contaminated sites and shall 
5include, without limitation, expenses associated with such redevelopment that are required for 
6such redevelopment by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan as outlined in 310 CMR 40.0000 et 
7seq., and any associated policy and guidance of the department of environmental protection.
8 SECTION 2. Subsection (d) of section 38Q of chapter 63 of the General Laws, as so 
9appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the words“in compliance with chapter 21E” the 
10following:-
11 and for the purposes of promoting the redevelopment of contaminated sites and shall 
12include, without limitation, expenses associated with such redevelopment that are required for  2 of 2
13such redevelopment by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan as outlined in 310 CMR 40.0000 et 
14seq., and any associated policy and guidance of the department of environmental protection.
