28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 38G of Chapter 71 as appearing in the 2022 official edition is |
---|
31 | 31 | | 2hereby amended by striking in line 21 by striking the words:-“of employment” |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3 SECTION 2. Said Section 38G of Chapter 71 is hereby amended by striking in line 28 by |

33 | 33 | | 4striking the words:-“of employment” |

34 | 34 | | 5 SECTION 3. Said Section 38G of Chapter 71 is hereby amended by inserting at the end |

35 | 35 | | 6thereof the following paragraphs: |

36 | 36 | | 7 Each school district shall submit to the department of elementary and secondary |

37 | 37 | | 8education with any Standard license application within ninety [90] days of application or at the |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9time of renewal supporting documents including but not limited to, professional development |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10plans, professional development points, and a digital signature from the supervisor attesting that 2 of 2 |

40 | 40 | | 11reported activities are consistent with the Individual Professional Development Plan and |
---|
41 | 41 | | 12recommending the granting or renewal of a license. |

42 | 42 | | 13 Any educator who has been found to not be properly licensed shall be prohibited from |
---|
43 | 43 | | 14accruing credible service time during the period of non-licensure. |

44 | 44 | | 15 The department of elementary and secondary education shall at its discretion conduct |
---|
45 | 45 | | 16audits of school districts to ensure proper licensure”. |
