BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 12 Article – Criminal Procedure 13 5–105. 14 (A) THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY TO A DEFENDANT WHO IS CHARGED WITH : 15 (1) MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE; 16 (2) MURDER IN THE SECOND DEGREE; 17 (3) ATTEMPTED MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE ; 18 (4) ATTEMPTED MURDER IN THE SECOND DEGREE ; 19 (5) ROBBERY WITH A DANGE ROUS WEAPON ; OR 20 2 SENATE BILL 586 (6) ARMED CARJACKING . 1 (B) IF A DEFENDANT IS REL EASED BEFORE TRIAL, THE COURT AND THE 2 OFFICE OF THE STATE’S ATTORNEY SHALL PROVIDE NOTICE WITHI N 48 HOURS OF 3 THE RELEASE TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT A GENCY THAT ARRESTED THE 4 DEFENDANT . 5 SECTION 2.
