1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to transportation; appropriating money to extend Sibley County Road 166
1.3 in the city of Arlington; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. SIBLEY COUNTY ROAD 166 EXTENSION; APPROPRIATION AND
1.6BOND SALE AUTHORIZATION.
1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$4,037,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8account in the state transportation fund to the commissioner of transportation for one or
1.9more grants to the city of Arlington, Sibley County, or both for preliminary design, design,
1.10environmental analysis, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of intersection
1.11improvements, water main and sewer improvements, and an extension of Sibley County
1.12Road 166, known as Freedom Drive, from Sibley County State-Aid Highway 17 to marked
1.13Trunk Highway 5 in the city of Arlington.
1.14 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
1.15proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.16the state in an amount up to $4,037,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.17prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.18Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
