1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to liquor; permitting persons that are 17 years of age to serve alcoholic 1.3 beverages; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 340A.412, subdivision 10. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 340A.412, subdivision 10, is amended to 1.6read: 1.7 Subd. 10.Employment of minors.No person under 18 years of age may serve or sell 1.8intoxicating liquor in a retail intoxicating liquor establishment that has an off-sale intoxicating 1.9liquor license. Notwithstanding section 181A.115, a person 17 years of age may serve or 1.10sell intoxicating liquor in a retail establishment that has an on-sale intoxicating liquor license, 1.11provided that the service or sale is supervised by an employee of the establishment who is 1.12over 17 years of age. 1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. 1Section 1.
