6 | 6 | | 1.6 Subdivision 1.Reduction required.The general fund and nongeneral fund appropriations |

7 | 7 | | 1.7to an agency for agency operations for the biennium ending June 30, 2025, are reduced by |

8 | 8 | | 1.8the amount for salary and benefits savings that results from any positions that have not been |
---|
9 | 9 | | 1.9filled within 180 days of the posting of the position. This section applies only to positions |

10 | 10 | | 1.10that are posted in fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2025. Reductions made under this subdivision |

11 | 11 | | 1.11must be reflected as reductions in agency base budgets for fiscal years 2026 and 2027. This |

12 | 12 | | 1.12section does not apply to: |

13 | 13 | | 1.13 (1) any position that requires law enforcement training; or |

14 | 14 | | 1.14 (2) any public safety position. |
