1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to health; requiring all pharmacies make ivermectin and 1.3 hydroxychloroquine available without a prescription; amending Minnesota Statutes 1.4 2024, section 151.01, by adding a subdivision; proposing coding for new law in 1.5 Minnesota Statutes, chapter 151. 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 151.01, is amended by adding a subdivision 1.8to read: 1.9 Subd. 44.Over-the-counter drug."Over-the-counter drug" means a drug legally 1.10available by retail sale that does not require a prescription or consultation with a pharmacist 1.11or other health care professional. 1.12 Sec. 2. [151.411] OVER-THE-COUNTER SALE OF IVERMECTIN AND 1.13HYDROXYCHLORIOQUINE. 1.14 Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a registered pharmacy or a licensed pharmacist 1.15must offer ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine tablets suitable for human use for sale as an 1.16over-the-counter drug. 1Sec. 2.
