1.2 relating to agriculture; prohibiting the burning of pesticide containers; amending
1.3 Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 18B.07, subdivision 8.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 18B.07, subdivision 8, is amended to read:
1.6 Subd. 8.Pesticide, rinsate, and container disposal.(a) A person may only dispose of
1.7pesticide, rinsate, and pesticide containers in accordance with this chapter and FIFRA. The
1.8manner of disposal must not cause unreasonable adverse effects on the environment.
1.9 (b) A person is prohibited from disposing a pesticide container by burning.
1.10 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective January 1, 2026.
