55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 2, section 29, subdivision 4, as amended by​
77 1.7Laws 2006, chapter 259, article 3, section 4, and Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter​
88 1.81, article 5, section 7, is amended to read:​
99 1.9 Subd. 4.Termination.The tax authorized under this section terminates at the earlier of​
1010 1.10(1) December 31, 2036 2046, or (2) when the Hermantown City Council first determines​
1111 1.11that sufficient funds have been received from the tax to fund the costs, including bonds and​
1212 1.12associated bond costs for the uses specified in subdivision 1. Any funds remaining after​
1313 1.13completion of the improvements and retirement or redemption of the bonds may be placed​
1414 1.14in the general fund of the city.​
1515 1.15 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment without​
1616 1.16local approval pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 645.023, subdivision 1.​
