99 1.9 Section 1. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.​
1010 1.10 An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution is proposed to the people. If the amendment​
1111 1.11is adopted, article IV, section 2, will read:​
1212 1.12 Sec. 2. The number of members who compose the senate and house of representatives​
1313 1.13shall be prescribed by law. The representation in both houses the house of representatives​
1414 1.14shall be apportioned equally throughout the different sections of the state in proportion to​
1515 1.15the population thereof. The representation of the senate shall be apportioned equally by​
1616 1.16county.​
1717 1.17 article IV, section 3, will read:​
1818 1.18 Sec. 3. At its first session after each enumeration of the inhabitants of this state made​
1919 1.19by the authority of the United States, the legislature shall have the power to prescribe the​
2020 1.20bounds of congressional and legislative districts. Senators shall be chosen by single districts​
2121 1.21of convenient contiguous territory created in each of the counties of the state. No​
2222 1.22representative district shall be divided in the formation of a senate district. The senate​
2323 1.23districts shall be numbered in a regular series.​

5353 2.21house of representatives district is entitled to elect one representative.​
