1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to liquor; allowing the city of Rochester to issue an on-sale intoxicating
1.3 liquor license to the Chateau Theater.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. SPECIAL LIQUOR LAW; CITY OF ROCHESTER.
1.6 Notwithstanding any other law, ordinance, or charter provision to the contrary, the city
1.7of Rochester may issue an on-sale intoxicating liquor license to the Historic Chateau Theater,
1.8located in the city at 15 1st Street Southwest. The license authorizes sales on all days of the
1.9week to persons attending performances, exhibitions, or any other events at the theater. The
1.10provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not inconsistent with this section, apply to
1.11a license issued under this section.
1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective upon approval by the Rochester City
1.13Council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
