44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 169.869, subdivision 1, is amended to read:​
66 1.6 Subdivision 1.Definition.For purposes of this section, "road construction materials"​
77 1.7means street or highway construction materials, including but not limited to includes:​
88 1.8 (1) aggregate material as defined in section 298.75, subdivision 1, paragraph (a),;​
99 1.9 (2) hot mix asphalt, plastic concrete, cementitious materials, concrete admixtures, asphalt​
1010 1.10cement, and recycled road materials; and​
1111 1.11 (3) bulk aggregate materials that are delivered to an aggregate plant or production facility,​
1212 1.12or are used in the production of asphalt or concrete, not including those materials that require​
1313 1.13the vehicle to be marked or placarded in accordance with section 221.033 and Code of​
1414 1.14Federal Regulations, title 49, part 172.​
1515 1.15 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective August 1, 2025, for permits issued on​
1616 1.16or after that date.​
1717 1.17 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 169.869, subdivision 2, is amended to read:​
1818 1.18 Subd. 2.Six-axle vehicles.(a) A road authority may issue an annual permit authorizing​
1919 1.19a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a total of six or more axles to haul road construction​
2020 1.20materials and be operated with a gross vehicle weight of up to:​
