1.2 relating to human services; modifying use of electronic benefit transfer cards;
1.3 amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 245A.11, by adding a subdivision.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 245A.11, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.6to read:
1.7 Subd. 13.Use of resident EBT cards by program staff.For a staff person at a licensed
1.8residential program to make food purchases on behalf of a program resident using the
1.9resident's electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card, the staff person must be listed as an
1.10authorized representative of the resident. A residential program must maintain a log of
1.11purchases made by program staff using a resident's EBT card and must retain a record of
1.12purchases made under this subdivision according to section 245A.041.
