1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to elections; requiring the secretary of state to amend rules to recognize 1.3 a medical bill as a proof of residence on election day; authorizing rulemaking. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION; USE OF MEDICAL BILL TO 1.6PROVE RESIDENCE. 1.7 The secretary of state must amend Minnesota Rules, section 8200.5100, subpart 2, to 1.8allow an eligible voter to prove residence in a precinct on election day by presenting a 1.9medical bill.
