1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a new emergency shelter 1.3 and other municipal improvements in the city of Hilltop; authorizing the sale and 1.4 issuance of state bonds. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. HILLTOP; EMERGENCY SHELTER AND MUNICIPAL 1.7IMPROVEMENTS. 1.8 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$3,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund 1.9to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of Hilltop for site preparation 1.10and to construct, furnish, and equip a new tornado and emergency shelter. This appropriation 1.11may also be used to construct, furnish, and equip space for city administration offices, 1.12council chambers, a community room, and a playground for city residents and the Hilltop 1.13Mobile Home Community. 1.14 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond 1.15proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of 1.16the state in an amount up to $3,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect 1.17prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota 1.18Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 1.19 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. 1Section 1. 25-00859 as introduced12/03/24 REVISOR JSK/KR SENATE STATE OF MINNESOTA S.F.
