                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money for workforce innovation​
1.3 and job placement programs for individuals in recovery.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND JOB​
1.6PLACEMENT PROGRAMS FOR INDIVIDUALS IN RECOVERY.​
1.7 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.8of employment and economic development for a grant to Generation Hope. Grant proceeds​
1.9must be used for workforce innovation and job placement programs aimed at supporting​
1.10individuals in recovery through:​
1.11 (1) workforce training tailored to high-demand industries and emerging sectors;​
1.12 (2) record expungement assistance to eliminate barriers to employment;​
1.13 (3) workforce coaching to provide personalized career guidance, mentorship, and job​
1.14placement services; and​
1.15 (4) innovative strategies to connect participants to sustainable, long-term employment​
1.16opportunities, including partnerships with local employers and community organizations.​
1.17This is a onetime appropriation.​
