1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to economic development; expanding the greater Minnesota business 1.3 development public infrastructure grant program; amending Minnesota Statutes 1.4 2024, section 116J.431, subdivision 2. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 116J.431, subdivision 2, is amended to read: 1.7 Subd. 2.Eligible projects.(a) An economic development project for which a county or 1.8city may be eligible to receive a grant under this section includes: 1.9 (1) manufacturing; 1.10 (2) technology; 1.11 (3) warehousing and distribution; 1.12 (4) research and development; 1.13 (5) agricultural processing, defined as transforming, packaging, sorting, or grading 1.14livestock or livestock products into goods that are used for intermediate or final consumption, 1.15including goods for nonfood use; or 1.16 (6) industrial park development that would be used by any other business listed in this 1.17subdivision even if no business has committed to locate in the industrial park at the time 1.18the grant application is made; or 1.19 (7) commercial development. 1Section 1. 25-00660 as introduced11/26/24 REVISOR SS/NS SENATE STATE OF MINNESOTA S.F.
