                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to employment; requiring certain information be provided to businesses​
1.3 when determining worker classification; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024,​
1.4 section 181.725, by adding a subdivision.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 181.725, is amended by adding a subdivision​
1.7to read:​
1.8 Subd. 7a.Assistance and information for businesses; determination of worker​
1.9classification.A partnership entity must provide a requesting business with the information​
1.10necessary to make a determination of the appropriate classification for an individual​
1.11performing services for the business. Necessary information includes but is not limited to​
1.12information regarding unemployment insurance, workers' compensation insurance, and tax​
1.13identification numbers. The information must be provided by the partnership entity requested​
1.14or provided in coordination with another partnership entity.​
