66 1.6 Section 1. [16A.092] DO NOT PAY DATABASE.​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Do not pay database.The commissioner, with assistance from the​
88 1.8commissioner of information technology services, must maintain a database of individuals​
99 1.9or businesses who are prohibited from receiving state money. The commissioner must add​
1010 1.10a person to the database when the person passes away, is convicted of or suspected of fraud​
1111 1.11against the state, or owes money to the state.​
1212 1.12 Subd. 2.Contributions from all agencies.All state agencies must provide names and​
1313 1.13data to the commissioner for addition to the database when the agency determines that a​
1414 1.14person has passed away, is convicted of or suspected of fraud against the state, or owes​
1515 1.15money to the state.​
1616 1.16 Subd. 3.Confirmation of status before action.The commissioner must make the​
1717 1.17database available to agencies. Before entering a contract or making a payment, an agency​
1818 1.18must check the name of a vendor or payment recipient against the database to ensure the​
1919 1.19person or business is eligible to contract or receive a payment.​
