1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to state government; establishing a consolidated list of people and vendors 1.3 who may not receive state contracts or payments; proposing coding for new law 1.4 in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16A. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. [16A.092] DO NOT PAY DATABASE. 1.7 Subdivision 1.Do not pay database.The commissioner, with assistance from the 1.8commissioner of information technology services, must maintain a database of individuals 1.9or businesses who are prohibited from receiving state money. The commissioner must add 1.10a person to the database when the person passes away, is convicted of or suspected of fraud 1.11against the state, or owes money to the state. 1.12 Subd. 2.Contributions from all agencies.All state agencies must provide names and 1.13data to the commissioner for addition to the database when the agency determines that a 1.14person has passed away, is convicted of or suspected of fraud against the state, or owes 1.15money to the state. 1.16 Subd. 3.Confirmation of status before action.The commissioner must make the 1.17database available to agencies.
