55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. [43A.205] TRAINING EMPLOYEES ON PREVENTING, RECOGNIZING,​
77 1.7AND REACTING TO FRAUD.​
88 1.8 The commissioner of management and budget must provide annual training to state​
99 1.9employees on preventing, recognizing, and reacting to suspected fraud or misuse of state​
1010 1.10funds. The training must highlight the legal requirements of the employee to report fraud​
1111 1.11and must require each employee to sign an acknowledgment that the employee has completed​
1212 1.12the annual training, and that the employee is aware of the consequences for failing to report​
1313 1.13fraud and to make a payment on a claim or demand in violation of section 609.455.​
