                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to state government; required training for state employees on preventing,​
1.3 recognizing, and reacting to fraud; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota​
1.4 Statutes, chapter 43A.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. [43A.205] TRAINING EMPLOYEES ON PREVENTING, RECOGNIZING,​
1.7AND REACTING TO FRAUD.​
1.8 The commissioner of management and budget must provide annual training to state​
1.9employees on preventing, recognizing, and reacting to suspected fraud or misuse of state​
1.10funds. The training must highlight the legal requirements of the employee to report fraud​
1.11and must require each employee to sign an acknowledgment that the employee has completed​
1.12the annual training, and that the employee is aware of the consequences for failing to report​
1.13fraud and to make a payment on a claim or demand in violation of section 609.455.​
