1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to human services; modifying housing stabilization service authorizations; 1.3 amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256B.051, by adding a subdivision. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256B.051, is amended by adding a subdivision 1.6to read: 1.7 Subd. 9.Authorization of services by waiver case managers.(a) This subdivision 1.8applies to authorizations for housing stabilization services provided to an individual eligible 1.9for waiver services under chapter 256S or section 256B.092 or 256B.49. By signing a 1.10person-centered plan, an eligible provider agrees to provide the services described in the 1.11person-centered plan. After submission of a person-centered plan signed by an eligible 1.12provider to the individual's waiver case manager, the individual's waiver case manager shall 1.13determine if the individual is eligible for housing stabilization services and approve housing 1.14stabilization services subject to the following limits: 1.15 (1) up to 150 hours of housing transition services per transition, no more than half of 1.16which may be provided remotely; 1.17 (2) up to 150 hours of housing sustaining services annually, no more than half of which 1.18may be provided remotely; 1.19 (3) up to $3,000 for moving expenses per eligibility span; and 1.20 (4) housing consultation services once annually. 1.21 (b) The individual's waiver case manager must submit any request for exceptions to the 1.22service limits described in paragraph (a) to the commissioner of human services for approval. 1Section 1. 25-04654 as introduced03/12/25 REVISOR AGW/VJ SENATE STATE OF MINNESOTA S.F.
