66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16B.312, subdivision 6, is amended to read:​
88 1.8 Subd. 6.Environmental product declarations; grant program.A The Department​
99 1.9of Transportation must administer the Environmental Standards Procurement Task Force​
1010 1.10grant program is established in the Department of Administration under this subdivision to​
1111 1.11award grants to assist manufacturers to obtain environmental product declarations or​
1212 1.12otherwise collect environmental product declaration data from manufacturers in Minnesota;​
1313 1.13improve plant efficiencies from asphalt, ready-mix, and aggregate manufacturers in​
1414 1.14Minnesota; or otherwise reduce greenhouse gas emissions output in their operations. The​
1515 1.15commissioner of administration shall transportation must develop procedures to process​
1616 1.16and evaluate grant applications, and to make grant awards. Grant applicants must submit​
1717 1.17an application to the commissioner on a form prescribed by the commissioner. The​
1818 1.18commissioner shall must act as fiscal agent for the grant program and is responsible for​
1919 1.19receiving and reviewing grant applications and awarding grants under this subdivision.​
2020 1.20 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​

2222 1.22 $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
