55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; STATEWIDE FAMILY MEDIATION PILOT​
77 1.7PROGRAM.​
88 1.8 (a) $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the​
99 1.9commissioner of children, youth, and families for a grant to Community Mediation Minnesota​
1010 1.10to administer a statewide family mediation pilot program to provide support to grandparents​
1111 1.11and families. This is a onetime appropriation.​
1212 1.12 (b) The grant money must be used to:​
1313 1.13 (1) provide family dispute resolution services;​
1414 1.14 (2) increase awareness of and access to family dispute resolution services statewide;​
1515 1.15 (3) provide alternative dispute resolution services, including but not limited to family​
1616 1.16reconnection coaching, mediation, and navigation services;​
1717 1.17 (4) partner with culturally specific dispute resolution programs to provide training and​
1818 1.18assistance with virtual and in-person mediation services;​
1919 1.19 (5) increase the number of mediators on the family mediator roster;​
2020 1.20 (6) increase competency of mediators on the family mediator roster;​
