1.4 new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62Q.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [62Q.138] OUTPATIENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES
1.7PAYMENT RATES.
1.8 (a) A health plan company shall pay a health care provider at least 143 percent of the
1.9Medicare rate as published in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services annual final
1.10rule updating payments and policies for outpatient behavioral health services. Outpatient
1.11behavioral health services include but are not limited to outpatient substance use disorder
1.12and mental health treatment.
1.13 (b) This section does not apply to coverage provided to state public health care program
1.14enrollees under chapter 256B or 256L.
