                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to health insurance; requiring providers of outpatient behavioral health​
1.3 services to be paid at least 143 percent of the Medicare rate; proposing coding for​
1.4 new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62Q.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. [62Q.138] OUTPATIENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES​
1.7PAYMENT RATES.​
1.8 (a) A health plan company shall pay a health care provider at least 143 percent of the​
1.9Medicare rate as published in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services annual final​
1.10rule updating payments and policies for outpatient behavioral health services. Outpatient​
1.11behavioral health services include but are not limited to outpatient substance use disorder​
1.12and mental health treatment.​
1.13 (b) This section does not apply to coverage provided to state public health care program​
1.14enrollees under chapter 256B or 256L.​
