1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to transportation; appropriating money for intersection improvements 1.3 along marked U.S. Highway 14 in the city of Byron; authorizing the sale and 1.4 issuance of state bonds. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. U.S. HIGHWAY 14 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS; 1.7APPROPRIATION AND GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND SALE 1.8AUTHORIZATION. 1.9 Subdivision 1.Appropriation; general obligation bond proceeds.$5,600,000 is 1.10appropriated from the bond proceeds account in the state transportation fund to the 1.11commissioner of transportation for one or more grants to the city of Byron, Olmsted County, 1.12or both for the county and city share of general obligation bond eligible portions of a project 1.13to conduct environmental analysis, predesign, and final design of a project to replace at-grade 1.14intersections and traffic signals with grade-separated interchanges along marked U.S. 1.15Highway 14, including but not limited to intersections with Olmsted County State-Aid 1.16Highway 3 and Olmsted County State-Aid Highway 5, in the city of Byron.
