55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 342.56, subdivision 1, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Limitations on consumption; locations of consumption.(a) Nothing​
88 1.8in sections 342.51 to 342.60 permits any person to engage in, and does not prevent the​
99 1.9imposition of any civil, criminal, or other penalties for:​
1010 1.10 (1) undertaking a task under the influence of medical cannabis flower or medical​
1111 1.11cannabinoid products that would constitute negligence or professional malpractice;​
1212 1.12 (2) possessing or consuming medical cannabis flower or medical cannabinoid products:​
1313 1.13 (i) on a school bus or van;​
1414 1.14 (ii) in a correctional facility;​
1515 1.15 (iii) in a state-operated treatment program, including the Minnesota sex offender program;​
1616 1.16or​
1717 1.17 (iv) on the grounds of a child care facility or family or group family day care program;​
1818 1.18 (3) vaporizing or smoking medical cannabis:​
1919 1.19 (i) on any form of public transportation;​
2020 1.20 (ii) where the vapor would be inhaled by a nonpatient minor or where the smoke would​

3939 2.10is punishable through a civil administrative fine in an amount of $250.​
