| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 342.56, subdivision 1, is amended to read: |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 Subdivision 1.Limitations on consumption; locations of consumption.(a) Nothing |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8in sections 342.51 to 342.60 permits any person to engage in, and does not prevent the |

| 9 | 9 | | 1.9imposition of any civil, criminal, or other penalties for: |

| 10 | 10 | | 1.10 (1) undertaking a task under the influence of medical cannabis flower or medical |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11cannabinoid products that would constitute negligence or professional malpractice; |

| 12 | 12 | | 1.12 (2) possessing or consuming medical cannabis flower or medical cannabinoid products: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1.13 (i) on a school bus or van; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1.14 (ii) in a correctional facility; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 1.15 (iii) in a state-operated treatment program, including the Minnesota sex offender program; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1.16or |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 1.17 (iv) on the grounds of a child care facility or family or group family day care program; |

| 18 | 18 | | 1.18 (3) vaporizing or smoking medical cannabis: |

| 20 | 20 | | 1.20 (ii) where the vapor would be inhaled by a nonpatient minor or where the smoke would |
