1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to cannabis; prohibiting the vaporizing or smoking of medical cannabis 1.3 in multifamily housing; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 342.56, 1.4 subdivision 1. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 342.56, subdivision 1, is amended to read: 1.7 Subdivision 1.Limitations on consumption; locations of consumption.(a) Nothing 1.8in sections 342.51 to 342.60 permits any person to engage in, and does not prevent the 1.9imposition of any civil, criminal, or other penalties for: 1.10 (1) undertaking a task under the influence of medical cannabis flower or medical 1.11cannabinoid products that would constitute negligence or professional malpractice; 1.12 (2) possessing or consuming medical cannabis flower or medical cannabinoid products: 1.13 (i) on a school bus or van; 1.14 (ii) in a correctional facility; 1.15 (iii) in a state-operated treatment program, including the Minnesota sex offender program; 1.16or 1.17 (iv) on the grounds of a child care facility or family or group family day care program; 1.18 (3) vaporizing or smoking medical cannabis: 1.19 (i) on any form of public transportation; 1.20 (ii) where the vapor would be inhaled by a nonpatient minor or where the smoke would 1.21be inhaled by a minor; or 1Section 1. 25-02093 as introduced01/10/25 REVISOR BD/DG SENATE STATE OF MINNESOTA S.F.
