1.2 relating to health; appropriating money for a health care worker well-being grant
1.3 program.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CARE FOR CLINICIANS GRANT.
1.6 $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2026 from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.7health for a grant to the Minnesota Medical Association to conduct a "Treat Yourself First"
1.8campaign. The campaign must be an awareness and education campaign focused on burnout
1.9and well-being of health care workers designed to: (1) reduce the stigma of receiving mental
1.10health services; (2) encourage health care workers who are experiencing workplace-related
1.11fatigue to receive the care they need; and (3) normalize the process for seeking help. The
1.12campaign must be targeted to health care professionals, including but not limited to
1.13physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and other members of the health care team. The
1.14campaign must include resources for health care professionals seeking help to address
1.15burnout and well-being. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until July 1, 2030.
