SectionA.Section162.974,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassection162.974,toreadasfollows:
162.974.1.Thestatedepartmentofelementaryandsecondaryeducationshall
2reimburseschooldistricts,includingspecialschooldistricts,forthespecialeducationalcosts
3ofhigh-needchildrenwithanindividualizededucationprogramexceedingthreetimesthe
4currentexpenditureperaveragedailyattendanceascalculatedonthedistrictannualsecretary
5oftheboardreportfortheyearinwhichexpendituresareclaimed.Foranyschooldistrict
6withanaveragedailyattendanceoffivehundredstudentsorfewer,thecalculationof
7threetimesthecurrentexpenditureperaveragedailyattendanceshallnotincludeany
8moneysreimbursedtoaschooldistrictunderthissection.
9 2.Aschooldistrictshallsubmit,throughtimelyapplication,asdeterminedbythe
10statedepartmentofelementaryandsecondaryeducation,thecostofservinganyhigh-needs
11studentwithanindividualizededucationprogram,asprovidedinsubsection1ofthis
12section.
