115.105.1.Thechairofthecountycommitteeofeachpoliticalpartynamedonthe
2ballotshallhavetherighttodesignateachallengerforeachpollingplace,whomaybe
3presentuntilallballotsarecastonthedayofelection,andachallengerforeachlocationat
4whichabsenteeballotsarecounted,whomaybepresentwhiletheballotsarebeingprepared
5forcountingandcounted.Nolaterthanfourbusinessdaysbeforetheelection,thechairof
6eachcountycommitteeofeachpoliticalpartynamedontheballotshallprovidesigned
7officialdesignationformswiththenamesofthedesignatedchallengersandsubstitutestothe
8localelectionauthorityforconfirmationofeligibilitytoserveasachallenger.Thelocal
9electionauthority,afterverifyingtheeligibilityofeachdesignatedandsubstitutechallenger,
10shallsignoffontheofficialdesignationforms,unlessthechallengerisfoundnottohavethe
11qualificationsestablishedbysubsection4ofthissection.Iftheelectionauthoritydetermines
12thatachallengerdoesnotmeetthequalificationsofsubsection4ofthissection,the
13designatingpartychairmaydesignateareplacementchallengerandprovidethelocalelection

17 2.Challengesmayonlybemadewhenthechallengerbelievestheelectionlawsof
18thisstatehavebeenorwillbeviolated,andeachchallengershallreportanysuchbelieftothe
19electionjudges,ortotheelectionauthorityifnotsatisfiedwiththedecisionoftheelection
20judges.
21 3.Priortothecloseofthepolls,challengersmaylistandgiveoutthenamesofthose
22whohavevoted.Thelistingandgivingoutofnamesofthosewhohavevotedbyachallenger
23shallnotbeconsideredgivinginformationtendingtoshowthestateofthecount.
24 4.Inapresidentialprimaryelection,challengersmaycollectinformationabout
25thepartyballotselectedbythevoterandmaydisclosepartyaffiliationinformationafter
26thepollsclose.
27 5.Allpersonsselectedaschallengersshallhavethesamequalificationsrequiredby
28section115.085forelectionjudges,exceptthatsuchchallengershallbearegisteredvoterin
29thejurisdictionoftheelectionauthorityforwhichthechallengerisdesignatedasachallenger.
30 [5.]6.Anychallengebyachallengertoavoter'sidentificationforvalidityshallbe
31madeonlytotheelectionjudgesorotherelectionauthority.Ifthepollchallengerisnot
32satisfiedwiththedecisionoftheelectionjudges,thenheorshemayreporthisorherbelief
33thattheelectionlawsofthisstatehavebeenorwillbeviolatedtotheelectionauthorityas
34allowedunderthissection.
115.123.1.AllpublicelectionsshallbeheldonTuesday.Exceptasprovidedin
2subsection2ofthissection,andsection247.180,allpublicelectionsshallbeheldonthe
3generalelectionday,theprimaryelectionday,thegeneralmunicipalelectionday,thefirst
4TuesdayafterthefirstMondayinNovember,oronanotherdayexpresslyprovidedbycityor
5countycharter,andinnonprimaryyearsonthefirstTuesdayafterthefirstMondayinAugust.
6BondelectionsmaybeheldonthefirstTuesdayafterthefirstMondayinFebruarybutno
7otherissueshallbeincludedontheballotforsuchelection.
8 2.Notwithstandingtheprovisionsofsubsection1ofthissection,anelectionfora
9presidentialprimaryheldundersections115.755to115.785shallbeheldonthefirst
10TuesdayafterthefirstMondayinAprilofeachpresidentialelectionyear.
11 3.Thefollowingelectionsshallbeexemptfromtheprovisionsofsubsection1ofthis
12section:
13 (1)Bondelectionsnecessitatedbyfire,vandalismornaturaldisaster;
14 (2)Electionsforwhichownershipofrealpropertyisrequiredbylawforvoting;
15 (3)Specialelectionstofillvacanciesandtodecidetievotesorelectioncontests;and

115.127.1.Exceptasprovidedinsubsection4ofthissection,uponreceiptofnotice
2ofaspecialelectiontofillavacancysubmittedpursuanttosubsection2ofsection115.125,
3theelectionauthorityshallcauselegalnoticeofthespecialelectiontobepublishedina
4newspaperofgeneralcirculationinitsjurisdiction.Thenoticeshallincludethenameofthe
5officeroragencycallingtheelection,thedateandtimeoftheelection,thenameoftheoffice
6tobefilledandthedatebywhichcandidatesmustbeselectedorfiledfortheoffice.Within
7oneweekpriortoeachspecialelectiontofillavacancyheldinitsjurisdiction,theelection
8authorityshallcauselegalnoticeoftheelectiontobepublishedintwonewspapersof
9differentpoliticalfaithandgeneralcirculationinthejurisdiction.Thelegalnoticeshall
10includethedateandtimeoftheelection,thenameoftheofficeroragencycallingtheelection
11andasampleballot.Ifthereisonlyonenewspaperofgeneralcirculationinthejurisdiction,
12thenoticeshallbepublishedinthenewspaperwithinoneweekpriortotheelection.Ifthere

19politicalfaithandqualifiedpursuanttochapter493whicharepublishedwithintheboundsof
20theareaholdingtheelection.Ifthereisonlyoneso-qualifiednewspaper,thennoticeshallbe
21publishedinonlyonenewspaper.Ifthereisnonewspaperpublishedwithintheboundsofthe
22electionarea,thenthenoticeshallbepublishedintwoqualifiednewspapersofdifferent
23politicalfaithservingthearea.Noticeshallbepublishedtwice,thefirstpublicationoccurring
24inthesecondweekpriortotheelection,andthesecondpublicationoccurringwithinone

4otherthanagovernmentalentityorapersonwhoispaidorcompensatedbya

10 2.Eachvoterregistrationsolicitorshallprovidethefollowinginformationinwriting

13 (2)Theresidentialaddress,includingstreetnumber,city,state,andzipcode;
14 (3)Themailingaddress,ifdifferentfromtheresidentialaddress;and

16 3.Thesolicitorinformationrequiredinsubsection2ofthissectionshallbesubmitted
17tothesecretaryofstate'sofficewiththefollowingoathandaffirmation:

3 2.Thelocalelectionauthorityshallsendanapplicationtoparticipateintheabsentee
4votingprocesssetoutinthissectiontoanyregisteredvoterresidingwithintheelection
5authority'sjurisdictionuponrequest.
6 3.Uponreceiptofaproperlycompletedapplication,theelectionauthorityshallenter
7thevoter'snameonalistofvotersqualifiedtoparticipateasabsenteevoterspursuanttothis
8section.
