SectionA.Chapter42,RSMo,isamendedbyaddingtheretoonenewsection,tobe
2knownassection42.312,toreadasfollows:
42.312.1.Thereisherebycreatedwithinthestateadjutantgeneral'sofficethe
2"OperationEnduringFreedom,OperationFreedom’sSentinel,andOperationAllies
3RefugeProgram".EveryveteranwhohonorablyservedonactivedutyintheUnited
4StatesmilitaryserviceatanytimebeginningOctober7,2001,andendingAugust30,
52021,shallbeentitledtoreceiveanOperationEnduringFreedom,OperationFreedom’s
6Sentinel,andOperationAlliesRefugemedallion,medal,andcertificateofappreciation
7underthissection,providedthat:
8 (1)Suchveteranisalegalresidentofthisstateorwasalegalresidentofthis
9stateatthetimeheorsheenteredorwasdischargedfrommilitaryserviceoratthetime
10ofhisorherdeathorsuchveteranservedinaunitoftheMissouriNationalGuard
11regardlessofwhethersuchveteranisoreverwasalegalresidentofthisstate;and
12 (2)Suchveteranwashonorablyseparatedordischargedfrommilitaryservice,is
13stillinactiveserviceinanhonorablestatus,orwasinactiveserviceinanhonorable
14statusatthetimeofhisorherdeath.
15 2.TheOperationEnduringFreedom,OperationFreedom’sSentinel,and
16OperationAlliesRefugemedallion,medal,andcertificateshallbeawardedregardlessof
