SectionA.Section483.083,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassection483.083,toreadasfollows:
483.083.1.(1)Eachcircuitclerkshallannuallyreceiveascompensation[the
2followingamountsasbasesalary:
3 (1)Incountiesofthefirstclassification,thirty-sixthousandonehundredforty-five
4dollars;exceptthosecountieswherecourtisheldintwocities,inwhichinstancean
5additionalfourthousanddollarsshallbeaddedtothebasesalary;
6 (2)Inallcountiesofthesecondorfourthclassification,thirty-onethousandnine
7hundredseventy-eightdollars;exceptthosecountieswherecourtisheldintwocities,thirty-
8fivethousandfivehundredforty-ninedollars;
9 (3)Inthecountiesofthethirdclassification,twenty-seventhousandtwohundred
10eighteendollarsexceptthosecountieswherecourtisheldintwocities;thirtythousandthree
11hundredeightdollars;exceptMarionCountycircuitclerks,districtoneanddistricttwoin

26mannerthatensuresthatthesalaryofeachcircuitclerkisatalltimesequaltosixty-two
27percentoftheannualsalaryofanassociatecircuitjudge.
28 (3)Salariesforcircuitclerksshallbesubjecttotherequirementsofthis
29subsectionandshallnotvarybasedontheclassificationofthecounty.
30 [4.]2.Paymentofthecompensationprovidedinthissectionshallbepayableinequal
31monthlyinstallments,exceptthatthesalaryofthecircuitclerkofthecityofSt.Louisshallbe
32paidinsemimonthlyinstallmentsandexceptthatallsuchcompensationpaidbythestateshall
33bepaidininstallmentsasprovidedinsection33.100.Thecompensationofallcircuitclerks
34shallbepaidbythestateandtheyshallbeconsideredstateemployeesforallpurposesexcept
35themanneroftheirselection,appointmentorremovalfromoffice;exceptthat,thecircuit
36clerkofthecityofSt.Louis,thecircuitclerkofSt.LouisCountyandthecourtadministrator
37ofJacksonCountyshallcontinuetobepaidbythecityandthosecountiesandshallnot
38becomestateemployees,butthecityofSt.Louis,St.LouisCountyandJacksonCountyshall
39eachbepaidanamountwhichisequivalenttoacircuitclerk'ssalaryasprovidedin
40subsection3ofsection483.015.
41 [5.]3.Thecompensationprovidedinthissectionshallbeinlieuofallfees,andall
42feescollectedshallbepaidovertothestateortothecountiesandthecityofSt.Louisas
